The part of the book that I am at now begins with Stefan running away because everyone thinks he committed the attack that killed the history teacher. Elena of course goes to his house and tries to see if he is okay but when she gets to the house she finds that it is empty. She spots the trapdoor to the roof open and Elena finds Stefan with “blood smeared on his mouth” (Smith).  At first Elena does not want to believe it but all of a sudden she is calm and listens to how he came to be a Vampire. I want to know why she was so calm? Did she know something was wrong with him from the beginning?
