Katie just moved to SouthPort, North Carolina from up north. She has never experienced this kind of beautiful weather on a day to day basis. She rented out an old hunting cottage. It was old and very warn down. The floors were creaking and the paint was chipping off the walls. She walks outside on her porch to admire the warm weather when she hears he name coming from next door. She looks over and it it her neighbor Jo. Jo comes over and introduces herself. Katie is very over whelmed because Jo is so outgoing while Katie is quiet. Jo claims that Katie is her “best friend in the entire world” because they are going to become so close since they are neighbors (Sparks 10). I think Katie and Jo will become very good friends because Jo will take Katie out to all the stores and restaurants so she will get to meet everyone in the small town.
