Alex is the owner of the local grocery store. His wife died a couple years ago and he was left with his kids. He loves them to death but wishes he had a wife to make the family complete. His store was not the typical grocery store where you go get everything you need. You go to the store and look for what you need. If something is not there, you ask Alex to order it and then next time you walk ing the store it is sitting on the shelf. Katie walked into the store one day looking for a specific type of beans. She asked Alex if he had any and he said no but I will order some for you. She was so shy and she said no because she ” didn’t want to bother [him]”(Sparks 20). I think once Katie comes out of her shell she will start to talk to Alex and possibly fall in love with him.
