Katie started to like Alex. She saw how great of a dad he was to his kids. Katie started to think about her past and how horrible it was. Kevin was her husband that she was in love with. On their honeymoon, Kevin hit her and it all started there. Every night Kevin came home from the police station, he would hit and punch Katie and apologized right after. She tried to leave him but she was not strong enough to get beat any more. She went to the hair salon to get her hair done. She really did not want to go to get her hair done. She wanted to go the cell phone store to get a disposable phone. Kevin watched her every move, so Katie had to trick him. She was taking a big risk by going to the Radio Shack  because if Kevin saw her there he would beat her for lying to him. So after she get her hair done she goes into the store and quickly asks the clerk for a phone. Katie was watching the street for Kevin while her “heart was beating fast” (Sparks 136). She gets the phone and runs back in time so Kevin could pick her up. I think Kevin is going to find the phone Katie bought and punch and kick her very hard.
