Ross with Rape?
The article I read is about how rapper Rick Ross was cut from Reebok for having their company name tainted with lyrics suggesting rape. The artist was signed to Reebok only a few years back, and has lost all his endorcements all for one song. The lyrics are “Die over these Reeboks, you ain’t even know it, Put Molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it, I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it,” which have the suggestive meaning that he raped the girl he was with by drugging her, while wearing Reeboks. I feel that Rick Ross should have known better than to even suggest rape in the first place, with or without Reebok being involved in the song. There is some common sense to what should and what should not be said in a song, and all because of a few lines, he lost millions of dollars because he did not know what should not be said. I think Reebok is right dropping him, because if I ran a company, I would not allow anything profound being associated with my company.
