Blog Post Week 20

April2

This week, I read an article on a 13-year-old kid that was murdered in Mexico after having confessed to “being an assassin for a Mexican drug cartel”(Romo). Not only is this incredibly surprising, but it is also very eye opening. Organized crime is present all throughout the world. Some, unfortunately, are capable of being international. In my opinion, this is one of the biggest modern threats to national security after terrorism. Because not only are these groups capable of being widespread, but they are capable of attacking swiftly all around the United States. If caught, they are brought to prison where they meet with their fellow members, and devise more plans and organize for when they come out. Therefore, over the years, becoming stronger and a bigger threat.
