The article I read can only be summed up as ridiculous. My article is about how one pair of shoes sold for more than a brand new Mercedes. Kanye West’s Air Yeezy 2’s, autographed and worn by him, were “sold for $99,000 in a charity auction for Hurricane Sandy victims.” Kanye’s signature already sells for at least $2,000 now, but about $100,000 is just beyond belief. Now the shoe was sold for a good cause, but people are already being killed over wearing his shoe, so wearing an autographed shoe could only end with tragidy. I like how Kanye was supportive for the Hurricane Sandy charity, it shows that even the biggest and most egotistical people can have a big heart. I would be happy to donate money, but if I had $100,000 laying around, I would spend it on important things, or even 50 pairs of Air Yeezy 2’s.
