In this article i read that the united states military has many camouflage uniform that they use to fight in wars with. Throughout the years the military has change it uniform to fight in different types of environment such as the desert, the jungle and the amazon. There is one camouflage pattern for marines and another just for the u.s navy. the united states Army has a universal camouflage which is designed to work anywhere. In 11 years two kinds of camouflage have turned into 10. These changes the military have made through the years have been very expensive. In 2002, the U.S. military had just two kinds of camouflage uniforms. One was green, for the woods. The other was brown, for the desert. “Then things got strange ” in the words of author David A. Fahrenthold where many people started to come up with different uniforms for combat. After reading this article my prediction is that many others will try to come up with a better camouflage for the military. One other thing that i predict is that if there are changes to the uniform it will be very expensive.

This week I read an article of a so called hero, Charles Ramsey, that helped rescue a 10 year captive. Apparently, this hero knew the captor. He explained, “We eat ribs and what not, listen to salsa music, you see where I’m coming from? Not a clue that that girl was in that house, or anybody else was in there against their will”(Ramsey). However, one must be incredibly oblivious not to notice or hear anything suspicious after 10 years. No one is that careful to have everything under control for 10 years. If she was able to make contact with the outside world, she must have tried multiple times before.I believe people should be more aware of their surroundings. There might be people out there that need our help, and we are too busy with our lives to even listen.

In the book “The Bully” Darrell after the long trip on the bus with his mother finally arrives to California. Darrell and his mother are greeted by his uncle Jason who drives them to the new neighborhood. During the whole ride Darrell’s uncle kept bringing up how the change will be good for them and that how in no time Darrell would hit his growth spurt, which made the whole ride to the neighborhood more angering for Darrell. Darrell not being there for too long already encounters a bad situation which he decides to keep to himself. Deciding to follow what his mother said about smiling and he’d have a friend in no time, he smiles at a group of boys whom reminded him of his old friends, he hoped they would turn out like his old friends; the group of boys attended Bluford High as well. The boys ended up taunting him and made Darrell give them his last bit of money. Darrell at some point ended up busting his lip when the boys were bothering him. Darrell eventually got a chance to get away and went home. Darrell felt it was just the start that he would see them again around Bluford High (school). Darrell should of went with his gut instincts because he as a teenager should of known what was ok and what was not. His mother only intended the best with her advice, but he should of known better then to go through with it. Other than that Darrell should talk to someone about because he doesn’t know those boys and what they’re capable of. I predict that Darrell will have tough time in school due to having to deal with those boys again this time not only around the neighborhood, but every day in school.

SMS text messaging is dying down. Smartphone chat apps such as Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger have overtaken SMS text messages for the first time. According to data collected for the financial times, “Nearly 19billion messages were sent every day worldwide via chat apps last year, versus 17.6billion SMS messages” (Financial Times). Apps such as WhatsApp allow users to send messages free, paying only for data bills, making them a cheap alternative to SMS. I personally use texting apps instead of SMS. You can send unlimited messages over WiFI as opposed to being limited to a number of texts you can send per month.

It’s official, the world’s first entirely 3D printed gun. About 8 months ago, “Cody Wilson set out to create the world’s first entirely 3D printable handgun” (Andy Greenberg). Early next week, Wilson, a 25-year-old University of Texas law student and founder of the non-profit group Defense Distributed, plans to release the 3D-printable CAD files for a gun he calls “the Liberator.” Once the file is online, anyone will be able to download and print the gun in the privacy of their garage, legally or not, with no serial number, background check, or other regulatory hurdles. Many people will fight to try and make this illegal, especially those who are pro anti-gun laws.

Based on this weeks reading I predicted that Kira is going to be different from the other people in the community. She is independent, but the community is not. Also, she does not want to do what the community expects her to do because they have burned her house. They want her to live with other family because she lost her parent. On the other hand she ” thought about rebuilding her house” (Lowry 3). Overall, this is what I predicted based on this weeks reading.

In my medical health class we started reading a new book called the Healthy Life , and the book shows specifically how can a person live healthy by developing healthy habits and overcome the unhealthy habits such as smocking , fast food ,and others habits that will decrease your health and put you in danger that might be dangerous enough to damage your health. This book is really great because it talks specifically about how to be health in from every aspect like how to eat , how to exercise ,and all the knowledge a person need to live a healthy “Health is worth everything”. I recommend this to everyone because this book contain a lot of knowledge that I know for sure that people that most people have no clue about. I connect this book to myself because eI care about health and I would like to know everything there is about health.

Based on this weeks reading I predicted that Kira is going to go to in another house. Even though she lost her mom and dad she had no one she could turn to, so the community will put her in another house. Also, she can not live where she use to live because the place is destroyed by fire and that is what the community believed. This believe is that is some one where sick and dead then their house must be destroyed. Even though “she thought about rebuilding the house” (Lowry 3) she needed help to rebuild her home. Overall I predicted the above for this weeks reading.

Based on this weeks reading I visiualized how kira were when her mother died. She did not have any family that she can go to and live with. On the other hand, she decided to live alone by herself and build her own house. She missed her mother and her father because she lost him too. in this book it is shown how she wants to be independent, she said “I want to rebuild my home” (Lowry 5). Overall, she had no family to turn to, so she wanted to be independent.

I believe Siri and Porsche are the same person. Porsche talks about Siri like she is a real person, but i thnk she is just an imaginary friend or Porsche’s alter ego. When Porsche told Riot to stop treating her like a little kid Riot said “…I’ll start treating you older but am I talking to Porsche or Siri?” now if Siri was a completely different person then Riot would not ask that. Porsche also comments on how strangely her mom looks at her when her and Siri are having a conversation. No one in the story ever acknowledges Siri’s existence. When Riot and Porsche went to live on the reservation the Native woman never bought Siri clothes, gave her chores, or spoke of her and neither did any of the native people. One time Porsche’s boyfriend said “Who am I with today Siri, Porsche, or Ivory?” (her other alter ego). Siri is the alter ego Porsche made while she was in the detention home because she always felt so alone.
