Porsche is going to get raped in the detention center. Lana Santiaga, Porsche’s mother, is going to leave again. She’s acting like she is getting better and bouncing back from her drug use but it is all an act. She has not yet apologized to Porsche and everything she says sounds forced and rehearsed like she does not really feel it. “I promise I’m better,” or “I just want to stretch my legs ,” she says when Porsche is around. She still curses at her daughter and makes snide comments about how much her clothes would be worth on the street. As soon as Porsche uncuffs her Lana is going to run straight for the crack house.

Early in the story Joy was taking multiple Advils and Tylenols then gradually moved up to her mothers unprescribed Vicodin. When she was staying at her new boyfriend’s house she took his pills too. When Joy went to the hospital after falling against a door the doctors gave her pain pills which she now takes on a regular basis, although the physical pain is gone. If Joy keeps going the way she is she could satrt taking stronger and stronger substances to make her feel better.

In the book “The Bully”, a boy named Darrell was in the process of moving from Philadelphia to California. He was to leave his friends all behind, he is sad frustrated but understands it’s only for the better. His mother is offered a guaranteed job by her brother, which pays twice more than what she gets paid as a clerk, after losing her job as an insurance accountant. He doesn’t want to move to California because he knows he’s leaving behind his home and loved ones. As he spends the last day with his close friends in whom he’s known ever sense first grade he can’t help but be sad. He also fears the worst could come from moving to California, he won’t have his friends to protect him. Darrell is small for his age, and skinny. His mom continues to explain to him how they need the change, moneys hard to get by then she’s raisin him by herself. Darrell lost his father to a car accident. Darrell can’t help but be mad and sad especially sense he’s, moving during the middle of the school year and won’t know nobody. Mom tries to convince him to keep a smile on the first day he’d had a friend before he knew it. Darrell felt “maybe that worked in first grade” when everybody didn’t know anything about being mean (Langan , 12). He just felt she didn’t understand the pressure. I feel for Darrell, there’s nothing worse than the feeling of leaving behind the people you grew up with and learned to love. I hated having to move in which involved changing schools. I didn’t know anybody but everybody clearly knew each other, it’s a depressing feeling which in time you hopefully overcome and fit in just fine. I predict Darrell will have a tough time at his new school Bluford high, and may encounter trouble, in which he may try to handle on his own.

Reebok later said “We are very disappointed he has yet to display an understanding of the seriousness of this issue or an appropriate level of remorse,” the statement read. “At this time, it is in everyone’s best interest for Reebok to end its partnership with Mr. Ross.” Reebok knew what they were getting into when they sign a rapper  so for them to drop him because of a lyric its ridiculous. My prediction is that this will not b e the first time rappers will be drop from franchises for their lyrics.

Delaware governor Jack Markell announced that there will be a bill that will legalize same sex marriage. There are many people in Delaware who thinks that this decision is a bad idea that governor Markell have made. In the United States “30 states have passed constitutional amendments banning same-sex marriage, while nine states and the District of Columbia allow same-sex marriage”says Edith Honan. Governor Markell have seen that America is changing and so are the people and that we can’t keeping living in the past wee need to move on. My prediction is that other states will legalize same sex marriage, because the American people deserve to be who they want to be because i believe that’s what the American dreams is suppose to be about.

After many years of ground war in Iraq, and Afghanistan many soldiers are ready to go back to their old roots. There are talk of a “new generation of ships and landing craft to get the force back to its traditional sea-to-shore mission” says Lt. Gen. Richard Mills. There is a chance that these goal may not be meet, because money may not be there to meet their goals. my prediction to these is that the marine corps will go back to its old root, but there will have to be some changes to the marine corps if they want this change to happen.

In this Article i read there was a new person who received the medal of honor. Chaplain (Capt.) Emil J. Kapaun who was known as  “Good Thief” by president Obama. Capt. Kapaun took food  to starving U.S. troops in a North Korean prison camp. Kapaun was awarded the Medal of Honor on Thursday President Obama. President Obama said that Capt. Kapaun was  “an American soldier who didn’t fire a gun, but who wielded the mightiest weapon of all — a love for his brothers so pure that he was willing to die so they might live.” Capt. Emil J. Kapun stole bits of from the camp guards to feed the soldiers who was held as prisoners. My prediction is that many other soldiers will be awarded with the medal of honor for putting their life’s on the line for a greater purpose.

Any Untied States troop that is station in Okinawa japan have been banned from going off base. The reason for this was a woman alleged rape by a soldier who was station there. On base alcohol sales will be cease at 10pm each night. Other soldiers who are station in Okinawa are upset on this new rule to was given to them. Many soldiers feel that they should not be punish for something that may not be even true. Leading to the alcohol prohibition drivers departing the base will have to take a sobriety test. To top the prohibition of alcohol, the us military command in japan imposed an 11 to 5 am curfew for any soldier who had left base. My prediction is that many rules such as these will be set for all military member, because this is not the first time things like this have happen.

The United States has sixty three shooting teams competed in the 2013 western division matches at Wilcox range. More than 300 soldiers participated in the rifle and pistol shooting matches. Many shooters had to be able to shot from the distances that varied from 200 to 600 yards.This competition was serve as a way for marines to fulfill their riffle qualification requirements. Many marines take these competition very seriously, because they are recognize for their skills if they score higher than the other 100 too 200 marines who are there for the same thing. My prediction is that any marine who score higher than his/her fellow other marine will be recommend for promotion of some kind later on in the future.
