Dexter Morgan has split his life in to two entirely different people.  On one side you have the normal every day Dexter Morgan that his friends, family, and coworkers know.  “Normal Dexter” is always calm, cool, and collected; he never draws any attention to himself.  The other side, Dexter refers to as his “Dark Passenger,” is the sociopathic serial killer.  The “Dark Passenger” only comes out every couple of weeks to “have Dexter satisfy his blood lust” (Lindsay.)  I believe that Dexter created the “Dark Passenger” in his head to allow himself to not feel guilty about what he has done, he uses the “Dark Passenger” as an excuse.  This is the opposite of what Dexter’s adoptive father Henry taught him.  Henry could tell that Dexter would be a sociopath, so he decided to protect Dexter morally and physically.  Henry thought that Dexter designed “normal Dexter” as a means to not get caught, but I think it is the other way around.

I am still readingVampire Diariesby L.J. Smith. Many things have happened in the last few chapters I have read. Stefan, the new mysterious boy at school did turn out to be a vampire and the popular girl, Elena and him are now together. Stefan first stayed away from Elena because when he was around her he could not [resist the urge to feed on her], but he ended up starting to date her anyway. Elena has not yet found out that he is a vampire and I am sure that she will very soon. Stefan and Elena have only been dating for a week or so and she is already very much in love with him. I think when she finds out he is a vampire she is going to want to become one so she can stay with him forever.

Tiarra Andrews-Owens- Prediction

I am currently reading is Anna Dressed in Blood. It is mainly about a boy called Cas who has an occupation of hunting and killing the dead. This was the same occupation that his father was killed doing by a ghost he sought to kill. Armed with his father deadly athame he travels through the town with his witch mother and their cat that sniffs for spirits. They go around following legends and also used the helped from locals to go around finding these dead ghosts and spirits. “Move, hunt, kill.” he says “Like lather, rinse, and repeat.” He went to a town and the local neighbors call Anna Dressed in Blood who surprisingly for Cas finds out that she is a girl entangled in rage and curses a ghost he has never seen before. She is still with the dress she wore on the day when she was brutally murdered which was all white but now all stained with blood; the blood of all the intruders who entered her the place she called home. Surprisingly she spares his life. I predict that she is going to explain to Cas why she is like that killing everybody who enters her home while she holds an exception for Cas.

Chris and Cathy are two siblings that live with their mom, Corinne and dad, Christopher in Pennsylvania. The mom soon becomes pregnant with twins, she has the twins and they are pretty much living a good life.  A couple of years pass and on the day of Christopher’s 36^th birthday he gets into a car accident and dies. Corinne and the kids are devastated of Christopher’s death “Not daddy! Not my daddy! He couldn’t be dead!”(Flowers in the Attic 17) and Corinne is worried because she doesn’t know how she’s going to be able to provide for her kids and herself. Corinne decides to write her mom letters asking for help but she is afraid of her mother’s response because when she was 18 she did something to make her parents very upset and even throw her out of the house. I predict that Corinne’s mother will help her and the kids because Corinne is her daughter and she can’t stay mad at her forever.

In UnWholly I have reached a section were they have introduced a character named Miracolina. She is thirteen and has known she was going to be unwind since she was small. The difference between her and other tithes is that her parents did not do it for some religious reason, she had been born so that her brother could be saved with the marrow in her hip. Though she had been born for that specific purpose her parents still loved her tremendously. Unlike other tithes she has no doubts in her mind about tithing. When Miracolina’s parents change their mind and said, “We haven’t signed the final papers yet. We can still change our minds!..”(Shusterman 36). Miracolina responds by saying that she is still going, then she turns around and leaves without another word. The shuttle that was taking  and this other kid to the harvest camp is stopped they are both saved. Miracolina does not believe that they did her a favor but I predict that in time she will realize that they did do her a favor by saving her from being unwound. I also have a feeling that her and Lev are going to end up together, just a feeling.

Everything has to be my way or the highway! As I am reading my book Another Piece of My Heart by Jane green, the eldest daughter named Emily acts like everything has to be her way and that she can do whatever she wants. Previously, Emily apologized to her step mother Andi for being so mean to her the last few years. Andi suddenly feels like she might now have a chance to win her step daughter’s heart! Even though Emily has apologized, I do not think it will be the last time her step mother will see her disrespectfulness. I predict that Andi will become very furious with her step daughter once again, and Emily will fail to respect her as usual regarding her attitude problems. The part that already shows Emily’s uncaring ways are when Andi makes breakfast for her and Emily gags and says “Just tea and dry toast?” This shows Emily’s lack of caring. Andi hopes that Emily is growing up, but I believe that Emily is just using her so she will not tell her father what she really is doing.

The reading strategy that i am going to use is evaluation. At this point in the story, Katniss and Peeta arive at the capital. I evaluate that Katniss and Peeta are going to be very shocked at how well they are treated. They get cleaned by workers at the capital. They also get their hair, nails, etc. done. They also lived in very good conditions. since they were District 12, they lived in the pent house of the building. When they came to the table for the first time to eat lunch, Katniss was amazed at the amount of food on the table. She even asked herself “How would life be if me and my family lived like this all the time”? then they finally get to show their faces to all the people that watch the Hunger Games. And they knew that they had to put on a show.

In UnWholly I have learned more about Starkey. He was storked as a baby and escaped from being unwind. He is really intelligent but uses his brain for bad instead of good. Sometimes I am surprised how easy it is for some to lie with a straight face. Starkey acted like a good guy but is really planning to overpower Connor, “For more than a month he has not betrayed his ambition. To have  done so would have made Connor suspicious” (Shusterman 105). Starkey acts in such away that you never suspect that who he is, is a lie. I have a friend who can lie so well, that you don’t even suspect that what she says might be a lie. I was close friends with this lire once and I always knew the truth of situations. She did not worry about me telling anyone because for the most part I mind my own business, mostly because I have no time to waste with gossip, so she would like to tell me things. I would wonder at times if she would lie to me.

It was night time and John, Jenny, Marley, and Patrick were all all asleep. All of a sudden a loud piercing scream came from out side. John was wide awake after that. He was thinking it was “teenagers clowning around in the street”(Grogan 117). There was another scream after that. John and Marley get out of bed and go outside. Jenny calls the police and runs to Patricks room. Marley runs towards a neighbors house where he find a teenager, Lisa, bending over holding her stomach. She had gotten stabbed by a stranger. John and Marley did not leave her side until the police came. After this scene, I think John and Jenny are going to think of relocating their house because they do not want to raise their children in a dangerous neighborhood.

Laura Lee McHugh- prediction

Jenny finally got pregnant and it was that time in her pregnancy to give birth. John and jenny rushed to the hospital in search of a room. They get to the desk and ask for a birth room. The lady at the counter goes on her computer and looks for a room. It was a popular day for birth because “all the birthing suites are already taken”(Grogen 104). John turned red in the face and explained that they had made a reservation weeks ago. Finally the women finds them an open room. Jenny changes into the gown and is ready to give birth to their first son. After a long 24 hours, John was proud to introduce his new son Patrick Grogen to the world. The one thing going through Johns head was how Marley was going to take having a baby in the house. Jenny brought Patrick home to introduce Marley to his new brother. Marley was ecstatic to meet his brother. I think after a couple of weeks the household is going to get stressful taking care of a wild and crazy dog with a new born baby.
