Harry Rex and ray discuss the will that Judge Atlee left. The judge left Harry Atlee responsible for the will. He wanted to give Ray, and foster the house but he knows they wont use it. Judge Atlee wants the house to be sold. Harry also tells ray that he has to split the four hundred thousand dollars with his brother foster. The judge wanted to give all of it to ray because foster is careless, but he wanted to be fair. I predict that ray or foster will move unexpectedly move in to the house instead of selling it.

Giving up up my rut was okay because I was till cursing but not as much. it was kind of hard because I kept forgetting that I had to do this for a school assignment. Also some of my friends kept making me mad, and when I get mad I tend to curse. When I gave up my rut it had a positive effect in my life. It had a positive effect in my life because I found other words that I could use to express my feelings. It also kind of had a negative effect on me because sometimes I would forget that this was for a transfer task. Yes, my life was simplified  just a little because it felt better that I could go a week without cursing.  When we had to give up a rut it became an experiment because “All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better” (Emmerson). This means if you wanna try something different go for it because you may never know how your life is gonna turn out after you experiment.

John and Jenny had finally realized Marley needed to be trained. He needed to learn how to listen to commands so they could tell him to sit down or to stop. Their vet recommended a class that the owners to take control of their dog. They signed up immediately. John and Jenny get to the park and there are a lot of other dogs in the class as well. John opens the door and Marley bolts out of the car to greet the other dogs. John went running after him. Every time he got close to grabbing the leash, Marley would run to go see another dog. He finally “got within a strikimg distance and took a giant leap, landing hard with both feet on his leash”(Grogen 60). Marley jerked back and finally got in line with the other dogs. The teacher told the couple that there is only one master so jenny stepped up to the plate. As soon as the teacher started talking, Marley darted off into the park. He was already tired of the class. At the end of the class the obedience teacher asked them not never come back because he was “too young”. After reading this, I predict that Marley will never learn to behave. He will always be the trouble making dog.

I am reading The Lighting Thief a book written by Rick Riordan. It all starts with a boy: Percy Jackson. He was about to be kicked out of boarding school. He had so much problems on his head. He was a very troublesome kid. He has just angered some of the gods. Zeus just lost his master lightning bolt and he suspects Percy. He and his friends now got 10 more days to find this lightning bolt and restore peace back to the Mount Olympus.   “Deadlines just aren’t real to me until I’m staring one in the face.”

On his quest he discovers that it does not just end there he discovers he must come to terms with his dad that had abandoned him, solve the riddle of the Oracle and he also discovers a treachery more powerful than the Gods themselves. I predict that he is going to get back Zeus his lighting bolt and make ends meet with his father. He will also try to solve the riddle and stop the treachery with the help of the gods.

Sandy has been calling Bliss every night for several weeks and sometimes Bliss likes the have conversations with her, other times she just wants to get off the phone with her. Bliss doesn’t mind talking to Sandy on the phone, the problem is that Sandy talks way too much “Other times, Sandy talks and talks” (Bliss136). Most of the times Bliss has to end the conversation and Sandy does not really like that. I can connect with this because when I was in middle school I had a friend who would call me every night. I liked talking to her but I didn’t like talking to her every single night and for very long hours. Like Bliss, I would end the conversations with her and sometimes I would make up excuses just so that I wouldn’t have to talk to her.

In the section I am reading now Frederick Douglass is explaining his first master. I am guessing Douglass was with his master “Captain Anthony” when he was younger because he was not be able to recall his first name. When Douglass is explaining him I can tell that he is similar to Douglass’ other master Auld. The reason why he is similar to Auld is because Anthony is, [very cruel and horrible to his slaves] and “was not considered a rich slaveholder” (Douglass).  He also explains how his overseer’s name was Mr. Plummer. Douglass describes Plummer and as a very cruel man that took pleasure in whipping slaves. I wanted to know what is an overseer and why did the slave owners need them?

Tiarra Andrews-Owens- Question/Evaluation

The reading strategy I am going to use is evaluation. I would like to evaluate Kevin and Trae’s  friendship. Kevin and Trae been friends since they were little. There was no question that they both had each others backs no matter what. The first day Kevin and Trae met each other Kevin told trae that “Yeah, you told me I didn’t have the heart for this, but you did and you would always take care of me.”  Trae and Kevin will be best friends forever and nothing can ruin their friendship. If anything comes between hem they know how to talk about it and get over it. For example when Kevin told Trae he had “sex with Courtney and he is really the baby’s father”. When Trae heard that he was very happy and he said that was the best news he’s heard. Trae thought Karina would be so happy when she found out that it was not Trae’s baby.

Dexter has a hard decision to make.  He must decide if he is going to help his sister get promoted to detective by helping her catch the Ice Truck Killer, or if he is going to find out who he is for himself, and why they are so connected.  To make matters worse, Dexter must do this while under constant surveillance from Sargent Doakes.  Sgt. Doakes never liked Dexter, and he has always been very open about it.  One time he even told Dexter that he never “even walk[s] like a normal person” and that he “glide[s] like a f****** lizard on ice” (Lindsay.)  Dexter seems to find it funny that Doakes is the only one who knows Dexter “isn’t human.”  I think That Doakes is eventually going to find out who Dexter really is, but Dexter is going to get to him first, and he will have to decide what he is going to do with him.

The reading strategy I am going to use is evaluation. I think Trae and Karina’s relationship is unbreakable because they have been through so many obstacles which has made them stronger and closer together. The first obstacle is when Karina lost her baby. Her and had got into a fight that day. So from all the yelling and cursing I guess it caused the baby to die. The second obstacles is when Trae cheated on Karina with Courtney and got her pregnant too. When Karina found out about that she was devastated. The third obstacle they have came across is when Trae found out Karina cheated on her. That day he found out he was really angry because “every chance Karina got she would bring up how Trae cheated her”. Trae found out because when Karina came she had just came from Daz studio and they had sex. When Karina came home she went straight to the shower so she could wash the guilt off of her. After she got out of the shower Trae had came home and they had sex too but without a condom. When Trae felt the piece of condom on his private part that’s how he knew Karina had sex with someone else. Those are some of the many obstacles they have came across which I think would make them stronger as a couple.

My plan is doing okay. I did have my moments to watch tv but i was just using my phone and just started listening to music. An embeded quote from Thoreau is “Our life is fritteres away by detail. Simplify, simplify.” Giving up television is hard because its like a daily habit and i have to think about what im doing. I have to be true with the promise i made. My mom doesnt even notice that i dont watch television anymore but its hard because i see her watching tv and knowing that i cant is very difficult.
