The statergy im using is connection. Mac had a visitor and he was worried if it was Cece. He saw Vic and they started talking about Cece. Vic wants Mac to accept seeing Cece but Mac said no. Mac got angry and started screaming but Vic just said “you can  do it the easy way or the hard way”. Vic said no matter what hes going to see her. Just to see her one last time but Mac just got up and left. I can connect with Mac because its hard for him. He thinks Cece should forget about him. I have seen so many movies that are like the relationship with Mac and Cece. They guy wants her to forget about him but then in the end they stay together. I hope thats going to happen in the end of the book.

Amy Flores- Connection

The stratergy that im using is prediction. Ceces brother was injured. He burned his face from saving a person in the army. While that was happening Mac was still training Boo and an officer was thinking to write an article about him on a website. Vic told Cece and her mother to get a dog but Cece refused. Her mother was begging her for them to get a dog. Cece doesnt want to get a dog because i think it reminds her of Mac. A coupe days later Vic made her read some articles about guys in jail training dogs. They read about this guy and while i was reading i thought it was Mac but it wasnt. Vic said ‘we’re still going to read more articles so you can get a dog like Boo”. I predict that Cece is going to read an article about Mac and shes going to be shocked how he still trains dogs. Shes going to make that an excuse to go visit Mac. I think its interesting how just random little things can bring them back together.

Amy Flores- Prediction

I started reading this book like Friday then finished yesterday. The two main characters is this girl named Karou who is this type of creature called chimaera. Akiva is the other main character and he is a seraphim. Karou had not discovered she was a chimaera till the end. Akiva ended up telling her who she truly was. He also told her about the war that was going on between the chimaera and seraphim. Brimestone is a character that took care of Karou. Akiva thought that he was horrible but then discovered of Brimestone’s true nature at the end of the book but it was too late. Akiva not knowing that Brimestone was good had been a part of a plan to kill Brimestone and these other chimaera. He had made a major mistake and he had no way to undo what was done,”They’re dead, Karou. It’s too late. They’re all dead”(Taylor 416). This happens all the time in books, movies, and life. I had a time when I had decided to break my brothers PSP when I got mad now I have to pay for it. How I wish I could turn back time and tell myself STOP it is not worth it, at least it wasn’t the new kind.

Jennifer Posada–>connection

The book i am currently reading is titled The Hunger Games. It is about a girl by the name of Katniss Everdeen. She signs for her sister in  an annual tournament called the Hunger Games in which each state should send a boy and a girl. She is to survive the games alone.“Here’s some advice. Stay alive.” says Haymitch. The games take place at the Capitol. I am currently on the mid pages of the book. I predict that she is going to end up making friends and finishing the quest. The book is really good and its from Suzanne Collins. The independent blog is really good and hypes up my reading speed.

In my book Another Piece of My Heart by Jane Green, Emily and Andi have been going through rough times. Andi caught Emily sneaking in late again drunk and high as usual. Andi tries to comfort her and goes to get Emily a bowl just in case she throws up. Emily asks her not to tell her dad. Suddenly Emily comes out of nowhere and says “I’m sorry”… “, I mean I’m sorry for being so mean to you.” Never in a million years did Andi believe she would hear her stepdaughter say those words. Even though Andi does not tell her husband about Emily being drunk, I have a feeling that this won’t be the last time Emily does something wrong. The reading strategy I am going to use is prediction. I predict that Andi will think the relationship between her and her stepdaughter will be better just because Emily apologized, but I think Emily will go back to her wrongful ways.

Previously in Another Piece of My Heart by Jane Green, Andi told her husband Ethan about his daughter’s behavior and he totally disregarded his wife’s feelings. He said “Oh stop, I’m fed up with hearing this. Frankly, I’m pretty disgusted that you would even think such a thing. She’s a kid; my kid. She’s just showing me affection.” Every time Andi is around, Emily goes around her father trying to take all the attention away from Andi, and make everything about her. The reading strategy I am using for this blog post is connection. I can connect to Emily showing a little hostility and animosity towards Andi when her and her father first got married, but not to point where Emily is coming between her father’s marriage. Regardless Emily will always be his daughter, but the Bible speaks about how once you get married the wife and husband become the most important besides God. Ethan cannot give all his attention to Emily, and hopefully she realizes that one day.

As I’ve been reading Another Piece of My heart by Jane Green, Andi is still wishing that her step daughter would just accept her. Andi says “If Emily would only learn to accept me and be happy. If . . . if. There has to be a way…..” Andi is determined to get her step daughter to like her. Emily is now 17 and knows that her father has been with Andi for many years, however; she cannot accept that her mother was replaced. The reading strategy I am choosing to do is prediction. Andi tried to be nice to Emily but she once again talked to her stepmother in a rude way. I predict that Andi will start ignoring her stepdaughter until Emily finally stops acting disrespectful. I do not know how Andi puts up with the disrespect because if I was her, I would tell my husband to control his daughter; if he didn’t, then we would need some time apart.

I’m reading Blood Is Thicker and so far its is very intense. This Book Blood Is Thicker is about a young teenage boy who moves from California to Detroit with his cousin Savon. He’s not too happy about the move because he has to leave his girlfriend Darcy behind and all of his friends. Overall the move wasn’t that bad, until he saw his cousin Savon. That’s were it all began, the look in there eyes were like fighting words. I think that Hakeem and Savon will have beef but towards the end they’ll be fine.

Ironicly my prediction from my last blog post is true. Judge Reuben V. Atlee actually died “there was no pulse the judge was dead”.  Ray who is the son of the judge found his father dead at his house. Ray couldnt believe what he saw & tried everything he can to make sure that he was okay but the judge was motionless. On Judge Atlee’s desk there was also a box when ray opened it was one hundred, and six thousand dollars. I believe that Judge Atlee knew of his death, and left the money for his children.

A girl is being abused by her mother and father. Her father is raping her and she has had a daughter with down syndrome by him. Her mother thinks precious is trying to steal her husband so everyday she makes her life miserable. Her mother beats, yells, and makes her a slave, making her life a living hell. Precious already gets picked on at school and around the neighborhood for being over weight. No one really understands what she’s been through she cant even do that good in school but she loves math and thinks that her teacher will be a good father because he’s hot.

Prediction

I Predict that she will become a stronger person and be able to live on her own. She going to leave the hood and start a new life with her child. She might not want to stay in contact with her mother after the beating she use to get. I Also think she’s going to run away again and this time never come back. She will take on counseling so in the future her daughter can be successful and live a good lifestyle. She might find her a man to take care of her and her daughter and son.
