the reading strategy that i am going to use is connerction. i can connect to the character in my book because he is very good at sports. i am also very athletic. he is the best player in all the sports at his school and that shows how good at sports he is. i knew his coach loved him when he said “your the best on the team, and we need you.” so this helps me understand the character in my book a lot more. it makes the book a lot easier for me to read.

John and Jenny were a fifteen month married couple living in Florida. They both worked for the local news paper called Palm Beach Post. John got Jenny a plan after they got married to put in their house. A couple of days later it died because she over watered it after John had told her to “be careful not to over water it.” (Grogan 2). Jenny started to think how will she be able to take care of her children in the future if she cannot even take care of a plant. An idea popped into her mind about getting a dog. John was speechless when she said that. “I thought maybe a dog would be good practice.”. They get to the breeders house and meets the mother dog named Lily. There were five puppies in the kitchen with the mom. The couple asked where the dad was and the owner said that he was probably outside. One puppy stood out to them and so they decided to pick him. Fortunately, the puppy they chose was on clearance. As they were getting into their car, they heard the bushes moving and looked to see what was making all the noise. It was a big yellow lab covered in dirt and slobber. I think that after meeting the mom dog they thought the puppy was going to be nice and quite but since the dad dog was a little crazy, the dog they picked will be crazy.

I have finished the Hate List and it turned out to be an inspirational book. It was full of many realistic painfull moments and few happy ones. Their was something in the end that one of the characters said that reminded me of a moment in my  life, “We do know it’s possible to change reality…It’s hard, and most people won’t bother to try, but it’s possible. You can change a reality of hate by opening up to a friend. By saving an enemy” (Brown 399). The moment I am about to explain is not as deep as the one in the book. I try to always be kind even to those that get on my nerves. Their was this one girl like 2 or 3 years back that was really rude and desrespectful to me but I always tried to stay friendly and defended myself in a respectful manner. Well as years passed me and this girl became friends. Hating people is easy but forgiving is hard.

I started reading a new book called the summons. The Sumamons is about a  judge named Judge Atlee woi is a judge in clanton Mississippi. Judge Atlee is one of the best judges in town” judge Atlee held the office of chancellor in the courthouse” (pg. 8). He has been a judge for 40 years, and is now retierd. Judge Atlee is eighty years old now and is known to be a very sick old man. I predict that Judge Atlee will get treated for his illness or somethin bad will happen to him.

The book I am currently reading is Finnikin of the rock. It is a really good book by Melina Marchetta. I encourage people to try it. It is about a young man a prince and his guardian who had gone a way for a while since the royal family had been killed for about ten years. The independent reading is really good and it allows me to read really good and educative books.

Cece has met a new guy and Mac is still in prison but now he is helping the officers by training the dogs. Mac and Cece havent talked at all. He does miss her and she misses him. He wants her to move on and go to college because if she was still with him, she would be distracted. I predict that Cece is going to visit him. She cant forget about him, he is her first love. He will be mad but he is going to forget it about everything and start over again with her.

I feel that Ponyboy is going to bring his grades around. After seeing his friend die it has changed him. Also seeing Dally die in front of him as changed his perspective of life. He is going to realize that the gang life is not for him and that he should focus on his grades. This is going to make his older brother very happy. That is my prediction of how the outsiders is going to end.

In the story of Chris McCandless, Chris moves around the country effecting the lives of many people, and then would move as soon as he felt his relationship with someone was getting too serious or real.  In fact, he did not believe that relationship with other people were necessary to live a good life.  In a letter he wrote he said “You are wrong if you think joy emanates only or principally from human relationships.  God has placed it all around us.  It is in everything and anything we might experience.” He believed that “the joy of life comes from our encounters with new experiences,” that “there is no greater joy than to have and endlessly changing horizon.”  (Krakauer, 37) While I agree that one does not need relationships with other people to be happy; I think he should have thought better at how he was effecting the lives of those around him.  He hurt almost everyone he knew, or got to know, by just leaving them without any explaination as soon as they grow fond of him.

The main character of the book I am reading Charlie is finding his way through High School. Charlie has fit in with a group of friends and he has two best friends out of that group named Sam and Patrick. Charlie has a crush on Sam but she is a senior and she does not want Charlie to “think of her in that way.” One of their friends Mary Elizabeth asked Charlie to go on a date. But all Charlie could think about was Sam. So, I predict that Sam will get jealous of them and break up with her boyfriend.
