Based on this weeks reading I pridict that the main character Maerad is going to scape from the big and scary place. She has magic powers that could set her free. On the other hand her gift brought her punishments and she found out this when “Cadvan told her her destiny” (Croggon). This means that she is going to use her power to scape even though it is a bad idea. Overall, thi is the pridiction that I made on this weeks reading.

The book i am currently reading is titled the Lovely Bones. It is a novel written by Alice Sebold. The book is all about a devastated family from a gruesome murder. A murder witnessed by the victim. In heaven the teenager gives a description starting from the time she confronted the killer on a December afternoon coming home from school. She was lured into an underground tunnel and then raped and killed. The Family does not know all that. “Each time I told my story,” she says “I lost a bit, the smallest drop of pain. It was that day that I knew I wanted to tell the story of my family” and for real “horror on Earth is real and it is every day. It is like a flower or like the sun” and “it cannot be contained.”The family is in a state of grieve and sadness and the family members just want peace and a good sense of love and affection. Susie just want to console her family and hope that the killer will  eventually be caught. I predict the killer will be caught and her soul will rest in eternal peace once and for all.

In my book I have several questions to ask. My first question that I want to ask is where did, the dragons come from. The reason why I asked this question is because the author did not explain in detail where the dragons originated.  My second question is why the dragons are evil “the dragons rain down the scorching breath without mercy or regard to the human race” so the dragons could be friends with the humans, instead of being there enemy. My third question is, what caused the dragons to go to war with the humans. The reason why I asked this question is, because nobody including dragons just goes to war with somebody with a good enough reason there has to be a cause to the aggression between man and dragon.

Tyrone’s poem impresses Mr. ward. Tyrone himself is impressed by Chankara Troupe who is telling a story through her poem. Tyrone made connections with her story ” my pops used to hit my mom like that” says when Chankara shares how her mom was abused by her father. Tyrone, and chankara sat across each other in lunch, & learned more about each others lives.Tyrone stared at Chankara’s bruises thinking to himself who would do such a think to a beautiful woman. I predict that Tyrone, and chankara will eventually be together.

Tyrone Bittings is a high school student that doesn’t really care about school ” he tries to act like hes not even interested in school like there’s no point in studying hard”. In his English class they are learning about the Harlem renaissance which Tyrone actually found interesting. Since they have been reading poems in class there teacher Mr. ward has asked them to write an easy on the Harlem renaissance. Since poetry is similar to rap this is the first assignment that Tyrone is eager to do.

Summary

I have started a new book, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain. It is a very good book so far. It starts out with Finn moving in an out of the home where he was adopted. He is a wild kid and the “new widow” wants to straighten him out. Finn often makes rude remarks like “grumble for a pray” when there at the dinner table. But eventually Finn agrees to somewhat settle down aslong as he can run with Tom sawyers band of theifs.

The gang is close to Washington D.C and there is a flight tat leaves in less than an hour so they start heading for the airport, meanwhile Marina and Adelina are looking for marina’s chest while the mogadorians are attacking the whole foster house. Then six ask’s Sam “are you with me or are you with John” after a minute of thinking he says i’ll go with John. After that Marina finds out tat her chest is missing  but then Adelina pulls out a Loralite which is the most powerful gem on lorien and gives it to Marina and apologizes for not training her  enough and understanding her and Marina forgives her. The group is almost at Dulles airport and the fear of splitting up weighs heavily on them so about a mile away from the airport six gives John and Sam intructions on how to find a map and says in exactly two weeks I will be at this location at five p.m meet me there the guys “we got it” then she says another thing Bernie Kosar can’t go in the cave because it’ll kill him because they have some sort of gas to control their beasts so the group gets even more scared. Marina and Adelina  don’t know where they are going they start to run because there is a ball of fire headed towards them but they are fast enough so they evade the fire and keep on running towards the northern hallway there only escape then they see a man with atrench coat coming through that hall which was there only exit so they knew it was going to be a fight. At the end of the chapter Adelina tries to protect Marina but gets killed by a mogadorian and Marina is devastated and starts crying.

In the third book of the witch and wizard series, Whit is dogging new order soldiers while carrying his sister Wisty. Whit and Wisty are being chased by the New Order or N.O. because they are  scarred that they will use the powers they possess to over thrown the One who is the one(leader of the New Order. Wisty is also currently infected with a plague Called the blood plague which is killing her slowly. Whit keeps trying to find someone that can help wisty from this plague while the new order and there magic demon-like wolves on his back. As he’s walking through the streets this is what he sees “mothers scratch at open pustules,  and childern cough in to rags stained red. half the poor in the city are dying from the blood plague. and my sisters one of them” (Patterson). Is whit going to find someone to help wisty soon, or will he be watching is sister and the only family he has left to the blood plague?

This book is about a girl named Winter who is from Brooklyn, New York.  Winter is the daughter of  Brooklyn’s most popular drug dealer, Ricky Santiaga. Winter is the oldest of out 4 kids, she has 3 little sisters. Winter also has the biggest crush on one of her father’s workers “Midnight”.  The reading strategy I am going to us is a connection. The connection I’m going to make is  one between Winter and Midnight and another in the book “Moth To A Flame” that has to do with Raven and Ethic. In “Moth To A Flame” Raven started liking Ethic when she was only 17, and Ethic would not even given Raven the time of day. Ethic did not give Raven the time of day because he knew that Raven was not mature enough for him. Since Ethic wasn’t paying any attention to Raven, she started going out with someone 5 years older then her. When she started going with Mizan it was great but then everything got worse. Towards the in of the book Ethic and Raven finally got together and they had a baby. In the book “The Coldest Winter Ever” Winter likes Midnight now and she’s only 16 or 17 but Midnight isn’t even paying attention to her. I think Winter is going to find somebody else to go out with and she is going to like it in the beginning but in the end everything gets worse. I also  think towards the end of the book Midnight and are going to get together too. I used connection because I feel like winter and Raven lives are similar to each other.
