The Scarelt letter ch 11-14

My name is Chillingworh and am the guy who is been betrayed and cheated by his wife and since then all I want is revenge. The townspeople think god blessed them with me because am physician and Heal them, but am like leach that sucks the blood from Dimmesdale. Hee got very sick and I decide to stay with him and try to heal him. I Found out from living with him that he feels very guilty for some reason and it is killing him. I suspected Arthur Dimmesdale for a while because of the actions which showed a secret guilt. that he is the father when I saw the scarlet letter on his chest .The same one Hester have which is a sign of adultery and from that moment I saw the whole picture and I finally found the father. I have been torturing him and watch him torture himself by whipping himself and I continues to play mind games with Dimmesdale, making my revenge as terrible as possible. My have change because of all this crap that happened to me, I recalls the old days, when I was a benevolent scholar. “I would speak a word with you,” said she—”a word that concerns us much. “Aha! and is it Mistress Hester that has a word for old Roger Chillingworth?” Page(s): 134,  .Now I have changed from a human being into a vengeful fiend, a mortal man who has lost his “human heart.” Saying that she bears the blame for my tragic transformation, Hester begs me to relent in my revenge and become a human being again ,but I cannot let Dimmesdale take my wife and am not going to stop until my revenge even if it is the last thing I do in my life

The townspeople have accepted me as the doctor. They are happy I came because this man they love named Dimmesdale is sick. I hear rumors swirling around that I am a blessing from god. Though I also hear people calling me the devil, and that I’ve come for Dimmesdale’s soul. In a way I have. You see I moved in with him and it has become clear there is torment in his soul. All around his house he has art depicting adultery, and the repercussions of it. As I try to cure him he is becoming stranger. Dimmesdale will not confide in anyone, and we recently had an awkward conversation about sin in the graveyard. I tried to ask him about his spiritual health, but he brushed it off saying some things should be left to god. His strange actions made me curious so I had to find out what was going on. One day when he was asleep I snuck up on him and lifted his shirt. I was shocked and pleased to find a letter A over his shirt. Now I knew who my target was for sure. Revenge would be mine no matter the consequences. I’ve taken a liking to playing mind games with him. I can tell he has negative feelings towards me, but he doesn’t speak of them. Some nights I can hear him up, tormenting his own soul. He has even taken it so war to hurt himself. When treating him I see scars from a whip all over his body. Revenge could not be any sweeter. One day I will make him confess his sins. I believe that day will be soon, he is breaking down slowly. A few days ago I saw him on the scaffold. I don’t know why but he probably wants his sin to be viewed by the public. I told him his was hallucinating and brought him back to our cabin. I’m glad he is suffering so much. It is my duty to make sure he does!

Many things have happened over the years, and many things have not been accomplished. From what I have experienced I don’t much to say but the fact that I can be the first to say things have not gone to plan. My mother has been tormented for many year but yet she still holds her head up proud, proud enough to hold my hand and raise my like I was a gift from the all mighty. Things weren’t the best for my so called “father” he has been very ill and he has not recovered since, is it the fact that he holds such a burden? who knows, I certainly don’t. Things have changed through a short period of time, the same man who held my hand many years ago on the scaffold had asked my mother and I to come to the forrest deep with in the mysteries that lied ahead. He began to talk to my mother and held both of our hands and kissed my forehead. What was to be expected out of all that, for certainly I have acknowledged a change with in my mother after the confusing meeting from Mr. Dimmesdale. The following days My mother Hester Prynne walks me into the the town but the atmosphere was quiet different and I kept wondering and asking my mother why hasn’t the strange man acquainted us today but I only received short responses and quick shush then and there. After a while it was clear to me that the marketplace had the people gathering for the picking of a new governor and not to punish my mother once more. Somethings out of the ordinary happens I don’t seem to recognize the man but an urge to go greet him with my presence. Later the man calls my mother Hester Prynne and I Pearl Prynne to the scaffold where he first appeared in my memories that I long to keep inside forever. What he tells the people, what he reveals to me leaves me appalled, out of words and quiet frankly shocked. All I can hear after I receive kiss on my forehead from mr. Dimmesdale the minister are the rumors and whispers about the my true father is the devil. Yes I agree that I have lived with a label and I adapted, but now I have a father with gods will and judgement, adapting is no problem.

The 5th day on the run Wilkes was on his ordinary morning walk to get milk from the cows. He notice a loud siren whaling in the distance. He suddenly heard the siren stop and then he went back to getting milk. Then out of no where two police men ran up to Booth. Booth saw the police and began to run. He then tripped and the police caught up. They just thought he might have heard off someone hiding in this area. Of course Booth knew they were talking about him. Then he told them no and they went on their way. This was an extremely close encounter for Booth and he needs to plan a better escape.

These last few chapters have been very exciting and intresting. First off, John Wilkes booth killed Lincon. He is now on the run and doing everything he can to stay hidden. He has a friend who he is staying with for 2 weeks in southern virgina. He claims he will hide there until the search calms down. The sad part is, i don’t think they will stop until they find him. His friend isn’t at his house. He is in California with his family to bring them back near the capitol.

What is this all about! Day after day i keep getting clues pointing the finger at Dimmesdale. I know he has got something to do with Hester’s adultery. I have never seen them together but i know he was completely fine before my wife supposly commited adultery. Now he is acting very depressed and quiet which is very unusual. I will continue to investigate Dimmesdales part in this. For now i must dig as dip as i can when i see him for “medical attention”. Due to this whole situation i cannot ask for much else to clear up the merky situation so”Better had he died at once!” chapter 4, page 18. The other day i saw Dimmesdale walking around the town looking wierd and confused. As his medical advisor i decided to sit back and note his actions. He usally walks around greeting others and giving his hellos often. But today Dimmesdale has been acting very different from normal. I saw not one hello or one hug. He definetly seamed excited or worried about something. It seams like he just got some new news. I then went out after him to see what the deal was. The pursuit began, I started chasing him as he quickly walk through the town center. Then i notice he actually stopped to talk to someone. i thought to myself that mabey he was just in a hurry so i backed off. Now my investigation will go into Hester and mabey even Pearl. I want to get as much information as i can so im not hurting an inocent man. Everytime i see Dimmesdale it takes all of my might to keep myself from strangling him right then and there.

Based on what I read about Jerry Rice being able to think that the defense can stop him during a full game, I predict that when the game is on the line in the fourth quarter, then Jerry knows it’s time to make a play and he will make it. In the text it says “Defensive backs often believe they have a handle on Rice early in the game, sometimes even in the fourth quarter. Then, when he can see the fatigue in their eyes, he’ll leave them in the dust.”  That’s his specialty when you can suck the defense into thinking that they got him, he can break one on you in the fourth quarter where you most expect it but can’t do anything about it. Jerry Rice will use his will on you when you just can’t do anything about it.
