Using QR Codes to Explore International Sporting Events

For a unit in Spanish 2, students needed to learn about the World Cup, the Tour de France, the Olympics, and the Panamerican Games.

I researched websites prior to the day of the project for each event, and provided a QR code for each website. to give to the students. I used the QR code generator http://www.qrstuff.com/.  Each student was given a different QR code that focused on the particular international sporting event. They had to write 10 facts from the website and present it using a different app on the iPad. Originally, we had planned to use ShowMe but the app did not allow the students to share the projects easily.

Other students played with Videolicious, Tellegami, and ScreenChomp. The most successful sharing app was ScreenChomp.
