  1. I truly enjoy today’s presentation by Alexis. I loved the idea of having students preview lessons and build their background knowledge. I find this very useful for ELLs and students who have a hard time following in class. I can’t wait to use it in my classes. I am thinking I can record some videos for math classes in Spanish. That way, if a student is having a difficult time understanding a concept in English, he will be able to check out the video and continue with the lesson. I also think that flipping the classroom gives students an opportunity to reinforce what has been taught or when a student is absent (in our case due to court or room restriction).

  2. I really think that putting these videos in the hands of the students will be empowering. It gives them control and fosters a sense of responsibility for their own learning.
