Chromebooks in the Classroom

This week’s TLP-C will explore chromebooks in the classroom. A chromebook is a laptop running Chrome OS as its operating system. These devices are designed to be used primarily while connected to the Internet, with most applications and data residing in “the cloud”.

In this session we will learn how to use this device to motivate students and promote student learning. These devices broaden delivery of curriculum and interest young 21st century minds. Join us to learn how Jenn uses these devices to provide multiple means for students to learn and show their learning digitally. She will be sharing with us the most effective way to center this technology device around the students’ learning.

  1. The info. for google chrome books was very informative. We do issue the books to all students at the high school level and I have found them integral tools as we prepare for SOL Testing. The ability to assign tasks and monitor the students in real time has had a positive impact on keeping students on task.
