Revenge Time
Finally i think i have figured out who the baby of little Pearl is. I think its the reverend because he is in torment. The reverend is sick and keeps hitting himself in the chest which is very weird and scary. I came to the colony in the right time, i guess. The townspeople were so pleased because i got here in the right moment, because they keep saying that i am an angel which is very good thing to hear. I am going to try to help to sick Reverend, but instead i am going to torture him because i believe he is the father of Pearl. The Reverend was sick in his mind “the health of Mr. Dimmesdale had evidently begun to fail.”(96) because he knows he has done something wrong and doesn’t know what to do about it, and it has to be very bad because the reverend is the person that is most respected by the townspeople even more respected than the governor.
Wow – what gives you the right to treat Dimmesdale so poorly? You say that he is the most respected by everyone in the town. Why do you feel that you should make Dimmesdale confess to his sin? You are supposed to help heal him. How would Dimmesdale confessing to being Pearl’s father help him feel better? Wouldn’t that just make all the townspeople judge him harshly like they did with Hester?
