Walden Plan Entry#3

January7

It went well with the experiment of me not using my phone for a week. Giving up my rut gave me a positive effect on my life. It gave me a positive effect on my life because I was able to get a novel and be able to read. This was something I rarely did because I was used to using my phone every single day. It was a habit that I was used to every day that I barely read any novels at all, or do others things that did not involve me using my phone. Yes I am glad I had this experience, because if I did not I would of have always been used to my comfort zone.  My life was simplified because of this experiment. I was able to do things without being distracted by my phone. I was able to do my homework without being distracted and do all my chores. A word or quote of Emerson or Thoreau that apply to my experience is “What I must do is all that concerns me, not what the people think”.
