When Corporal Workman lost his two friends in combat, he was extremely upset and showed such raw emotions.  For the first moments, he could not even move.  He had never seen a dead body before and was distraught by what he was seeing.  Even though he was upset, he showed great bravery when he got right back up and when back into the building to continue the mission.  He showed a new sense of determination to defend his friends deaths.  As he went back into the building he said “Come on, we’re going back in” (27).  He grabbed other members of his team and led the way.
