Mission Topic, Purpose, and Hypothesis:

      Our mission is to create a photography club at George Washington Middle School.Our goal is to get a grant to help us buy equipment  to start a photography club.The purpose of our mission is to make our schools identity better by taking photos of what our school is doing throughout the year.Our hypothesis is that,If we start a photography club then, we can improve our schools identity and our schools environment.

Real World Skills I’ve Learned

 One of the skills i learned during this mission was how to research better.Research is an important skill to have because it helps you take your project or any thing else to the next level.Another skill i learned was how to talk to important people through the phone.Its an important skill to have because when you talk to someone important over the phone you need to have good speech and be polite so whoever your talking to takes you serious and doesn’t think your playing around.The last skill i learned was how to ask specific questions.All these skills can benefit me in the future when I’m trying to apply for college or for a job.

Challenges We/I Encountered

   We encountered many challenges during this mission.One of  the many challenges we encountered was finding the right grant.Another challenge we faced was being rejected the first time we asked for support but that taught us that not every one was gonna support us and say yes.The last challenge we struggled with was the one i struggled with the most which was, reaching the deadline.We found two grants and both of them had deadlines.For the first grant we had to apply for it separately but unfortunately i didn’t meet the deadline.Hopefully I’ll meet the deadline next time.

Solutions We Tried Out

     We had alot of solutions to overcome our many challenges.Some solutions we tried were asking for support from each other when we needed it,we never gave up searching for grants even when we got rejected the first time we asked for support,and even though not all of us meet the deadline we sent in  what we had completed.

Next Steps 

          During this mission my group phased many challenges /problems but we quickly found solutions to our problems.Our  next steps are to finish up our other grant and send it, because its deadline is coming up.Hopefully we will get one of the grants  and actually make our mission come true and actually start a photography club at our school.

 Favorite Part Of This Process

My favorite part of this mission was starting on the Doodle 4 Google grant.Even though I didn’t meet the deadline I really enjoyed at least starting on it.The cool thing about this grant was that you got to redesign the Google homepage logo but with a assigned theme which, they assign every year.This years theme was “My best day ever…”, which was a very cool theme.
