A White Bird

You sat there and watched me grow. Within these walls that once were a place of love and freedom. It was beautiful, until you left me.

Now it is like all the color has been drained from this place, these ruins. All I can do now is watch, watch the dull place that you sat, that you watched me grow from. One day I sat at my perch, like I do every day. A white dove landed on my window sill. it watched me. I looked into those eyes they seemed so familiar. That little white bird brought the color back.
