Sandy shores and soaring smiles, Summer's sunshine and sugary slushies. I am like an unfinished painting, Where you can choose the outcome. Here I am at the beach, On a beautiful summer's day, All winter I've waited and waited, For you to come and play. Finally you arrive! Beach umbrellas are poked into me, You shake out a towel and lay down, Ready to get your tan. The kids get out their shovels, And suddenly I'm a kingdom, Full of sandcastles and shells, Chilling shores wash up on me. I am the sand.
