Limerick

Like a joke that does rhyme
I write a limerick for the first time
Meaning to show
Extremes to which I’ll go
Reading and writing these are like sucking a lime
ICK!

The past

Something I don’t want to remember
Even though I have done so much good
All the bad memories mar it
So I hid it under the hood
Yet some times
In the weirdest ways
It finds a way to peak out
But then is hidden right back

The future

So much to look forward to, so much to dread
And all these feelings are in my head
Homework, sleep, and bread galore!
I don’t want to ask for anything more
The end of a month, the beginning of another
A spoonful of mac n cheese. Another. Another.
April, May, June, July
When you’re having fun, boy does time fly
August, September, October, November
When I was more tired, I don’t remember!
So enjoy your life, it won’t last for millions years more,
Don’t spend it laying on the floor.
Now is the time to insert your thought…

How the world works

It’s funny what we can do
From acrobatics to tying a shoe
Yet there is much out there that we don’t know
Like on other planets, does it snow?
Are there aliens? How many species on earth?
Why is a platypus an egg at birth?
There is so much more knowledge for us to gain
So why on earth would we refrain?

Choices, Choices, Choices

Choices choices choices
This
That
The other thing
Choices choices choices
Should I do this?
Should I do that?
Should I do the other thing?
Choices choices choices
This does this
That does that
The other thing does the other thing
Time to Choose

Number 234

I am
Number 234
I will walk like the others,
I will talk like the others,
I will live like the others.

I will live in this world,
Where I drone in and on,
In this everlasting tuck

I don’t want to love,
Cause no one else does.

Yet I mourn to love,
I love love

The thought ,
The feeling ,
The sensations,
It brings loft to the dark.

I am number 234
And I am different

Finding a Leprechaun

Sheesh.
I was hoping to play
Spring has just sprung
It had to rain
Thunder rumbles like the anger inside

Finally
The sky is clearing
Time to enjoy spring.
Once the grass dries
Relief floods my heart like the rain in the river

Look!
A rainbow has appeared
I heard there are pots of gold
At the end of the magic rainbow
Hope appears like the rainbow in the sky.

It shines
I have flown to the end of the magic colored ribbon
And there stands a pot
Full of gold and silver
I am filled to the brim with joy, like the pot with gold

Poof
A rustling in the bush
And I turned away
The pot was gone
And disappointment fills the spot where happiness once was.

A Spinning Wheel

It starts in the middle, an axle running through
Rolling and rolling into the infinite blue.
Then the spokes spread out, rays of the sun
And before I know it the ride is done.
The rim encircles it, holding it all in
Don’t know where I’m going, can’t remember where I’ve been.
We’ve been riding from the beginning, we’ll ride with no ends
On Chronos’s chariot, with me and my friends
