Mid-Mission Reflection Mason

Mission Topic, Purpose, and Hypothesis:

Have you ever wanted to get something for your school that would benefit everyone?.Our mission topic is to get a photography team for George Washington Middle School. The purpose of our mission is to gain a better reputation throughout our community. Our hypothesis is that if we get a photography team, then we could spread the word from our school and get a better reputation throughout the community.

Real World Skills I’ve Learned

One of the skills I learned through this process is sharing. When I say this I mean that I shared with more care. Another skill is investigation, during the research I had to find different grants. The last skill i learned is team work. I couldn’t do this by myself so we dished out the work to everyone.

Challenges We/I Encountered

One of the challenges I faced with my partner was finding a grant that didn’t involve a college degree. We looked at several grants, but all of them made it a necessity if you wanted to get a grant. Another challenge was sharing the computer. We only had one computer between me and my partner. We both wanted to type at the same time so we ended up just trying to steal it from each other. The last challenge I faced was organization. throughout this project I have lost so many papers.

Solutions We Tried Out

We tried to find individual people instead of grant programs. We found two more people that said they would look in to it. Another thing was that when we were typing we took turns. This helped us out because we didn’t argue about it. The last thing I tried was getting a folder in order for my papers, but I couldn’t get my self in order.

Next Steps

Next, we need to find out if we can get money for the cameras. If we are able to get the money, then we have to decide what type of camera we are going to choose. One of the main things to decide what type of camera is how much money we receive from the donors. If we get an extremely generous amount of money should we get a couple fancy cameras or get several decent cameras.

Favorite Part of the Process

My favorite part of this process was that I got to work with my friend because when you work with a friend everything is more enjoyable. During the process when I work with my friend I got more work done. This is because we helped each other through the work. I think if I continue to work with my friend I would be the most successful.
