Wow! Where did July go??? Can you believe that August 1st will be here this weekend? There is quite a bit to look forward to, starting with the opportunity to visit (and earn free fee waivers) from Virginia private colleges and the Common Application goes live on Saturday, August 1st.

VA Private Colleges Week is underway (July 27-July 31, 2015)

Yesterday some members of the class of 2016 visited colleges in the  Richmond area, and earned three fee waivers to Virginia private colleges as well as an additional one from University of Richmond. Common Application Goes Live Saturday, August 1st

Some of you have already begun exploring applications for colleges and writing essays (remember Essay Mom is doing sessions at TC essaymom.net), and now is the time to prepare to set up your account. Click here for the Common Application website where you can learn which schools are included, and explore all that they have to offer. In addition, many colleges will make (or already have made) their application available, especially those with Early Action/Early Decision deadlines. Please spend some time exploring the Admissions website for the schools you are interested in so you can begin setting your plan to make sure you don’t miss any important deadlines (or requirements)!

ACT/SAT Deadlines Are Coming FAST!

Please be sure you are staying alert to the deadlines to register for fall ACT and SAT test administrations. The ACT deadline is August 7th for the September 12th test, and the SAT deadline is September 3rd for the October 3rd test. Please visit the College and Career Center during normal business hours for assistance and fee waivers if needed.

Senior Pictures Have Started

Although some of you have already come in for your Lifetouch appointment to take your sensational senior pictures, some of you have not received the information yet.
