The beginning of senior year is around the corner, and wanted to pass on this awesome opportunity to visit prestigious colleges via their Fly-in programs. These programs have specific requirements, and we want to make sure you are aware so you have the opportunity to connect and possibly visit (for FREE).

Pomona University Diversity Fly-in Program

Oberlin University Fly-in Program

Students can apply to one of three visit weekends in the fall at Oberlin College and Conservatory:

Brandeis University Diversity Fly-in Program

The Brandeis Office of Admissions invites your students to apply for our annual multicultural fly-in program

Event: Nov. 1-3, 2015
Apply by: Sept. 8, 2015

SEED is an opportunity for accomplished high school seniors to connect with faculty, staff and current Brandeis students

Participants will benefit from:

Travel scholarships to and from Brandeis
Meals at university dining facilities
Overnight accommodations in residence halls
Experiencing multiculturalism through the Intercultural Center and student clubs
Developing a clearer understanding of the college admissions process

Dear T.C. Students and Families,

Thank you for joining my scholarship email list! Please note that my office has moved three doors down to Room A-115, directly across from the College and Career Center.

RISING SENIORS, it is time to get started on your college applications! I’d be glad to help you with choosing colleges or brainstorming your essays, so please stop by and see me anytime between 9am and 4:30pm!

Also, there are two very competitive full-ride scholarships due in early fall called Questbridge and Posse. If you are interested in either scholarship, you will need to get started on essays and letters of recommendation now. For more information about the scholarships, see below, and please feel free to contact me with any questions!

• Questbridge – Full-ride scholarship to Questbridge partner colleges for high-achieving, low-income students. Some partner colleges are open to undocumented students.

• Posse – Full-tuition scholarship for high-achieving student leaders. Must be nominated to apply. Some partner colleges are open to undocumented students.

August

1. Checks SuperStore – August 15, 2015 – $1,000 essay scholarship

2. Tutor the People – August 15, 2015 – $1,000 essay scholarship promoted on social media

3. CreditRepair.com – August 31, 2015 – 2.5 GPA or higher; $3,000 essay contest for current college students on the importance of your credit score

September

1. Culinary Scholarship – September 1, 2015 – Open to current college students planning to pursue a career in culinary arts

2. Love Your Career Scholarship – September 7, 2015 – $1,000 scholarship open to current college students. Applicant must submit an essay describing at least three steps that they plan to take in the next year to start a path towards having a career that they love.

3. Law & Justice Scholarship Program – September 14, 2015 – Scholarship is open to current college students pursuing a degree in the law/justice field

4. U.S. Bank Financial Genius Scholarship – September 17, 2015 – $5,000 scholarship open to high school seniors and current college students. Applicant must complete a scholarship application and all eight Financial Genius for Life education modules available at the scholarship website.

5. Siemens Competition – September 22, 2015 – Competition is open to individuals and teams of up to three students in grades nine through 12. Students are encouraged to do research in mathematics, engineering, biological, or physical science. Scholarships for winning projects range from $1,000 to $100,000.

6. Questbridge – September 28, 2015 – Connects high-achieving low-income seniors with admission and full four-year scholarships to Questbridge partner colleges. College Match scholarships, which are provided by participating colleges, cover the full cost of tuition, room and board, are loan-free, and require no parental contribution. Some partner colleges are open to undocumented students

7. Old School Impact Scholarship – September 30, 2015 – $10,000 scholarship for students who are improving the lives of older adults

October

1. Atlas Shrugged Essay Contest – October 23, 2015 – $20,000 essay contest open to 12th graders & current college students

2. Coca-Cola Scholarship – October 31, 2015 – Current high school seniors are recognized for their capacity to lead and serve and their commitment to making a significant impact on their schools and communities with a $20,000 scholarship; must have at least a 3.0 GPA (unweighted)
