Welcome Readers!
During this year’s poetry month, we plan to write a poem a day for 30 days! Read on and write on!
Happy Poetry Month 2014! Here’s my first poem:
Stand Next to Me! I see the orange sun shinning, holding us up I wonder-- Tomorrow, will I say the right things? Will I be there in the way you need me? Will we have each other for years like we planned: In a large mansion joined together by a balcony bridge? I see blues swirling across the sky Reds, oranges, yellows dancing, lingering Relax girl! It's going to be okay. We will still have each other the sky comforts me Twin palm trees stand tall next to each other growing old, reliving their youth Will we have that? Will I have you still? Relax girl! It's going to be okay. The trees hold me in place. We will still have each other. We will grow old, next to each other-- the sun between us like the twin palm trees, warming us forevermore. Inspired by a Josh Smith Painting from MOMA
