The beach trip

One hot and sunny day me and my family went to the beach with the church.  We couldn’t wait to get there because it was a celebration and we love celebrations.  So when we got there me,Neema,Nairobi,and Nalani went to the cooking area.  My family brought some cheesy mac and cheese and fried chicken to the beaches picnic area.   Then we saw my friend Will and his friends setting up the area when we came.

Then after we came shortly more of our church group came.  Once everyone came we then ran to the beach line to play there.  Then we went in to the water and we felt sharp shells and clams in the sea bed. They were poking are feet while we were in shallow water. My cousin was on the beach line barring himself in the sand. But I didn’t want to stay in the sand so I went in the water to wash off and my friends said come and play with us. Then that’s when it happened.

A man with a friend asked us if we wanted to play keep-away with them. So we said yes because it sounded fun. It was fun but the man playing with him as well was a very fast swimmer so it was hard. But when we hit the ball to the far beach one of my friends went after it he saw the jelly fish. As curious as he was he just looked at it but it started to move. Then that’s when he yelled out. “Ahh the jellyfish just stung my foot!”. Everyone looked at him and then we realized that he was serious and that’s when we rushed over. It was scary because we didn’t know where it went so we were afraid of where it was. But we knew we had to help our friend so we were water running until we got to him. “Help it stings so bad it feels numb!” he yelled. “We’re coming!” I yelled. As we approached him we saw that his foot was very swollen so we carried him to the beach line to get him some care.

So as we did that we had to go get the beach ball and stuff from the water so we could leave. But no one wanted to go back into the water. So we had to do rock,paper,scissors to find out who would go back in the water. “Rock,paper,scissors, Shoot!” we all said. Then after a few rounds of the game it was down to will and my cousin Emanuel and they had to get the ball. So I went along to help but I only went so deep in the water so I would see if it would come.

“I’m so scared” my cousin said while the were walking in. “I hope that I’ll  don’t get in stung in this water” Will said. As they walked in the water they finally got to the ball. When they were on their way back the jelly fish came to me! It was so scary to see it going so fast in your direction. So I started to yell, “Get out of the water quick its coming!”

They started to run to the beach line and we all went after them.  After they came back we said that we would never go back in again.  But it didn’t last long.  So when we got to the adults we told them how brave we were. They told us that they were brave and gave us cheese burgers.
