Dear T.C. Students, Families, and Alumni,

Class of 2016

“Admitted: Now What?” Breakfast for Parents of Seniors at 8:15am on Thursday, April 14th

All parents of seniors are invited to a free breakfast and information session on Thursday, April 14th from 8:15-9:30 AM in the Quiet Dining Hall at T.C. Williams. Scholarship Fund of Alexandria, College and Career Center, and counseling staff will share information and resources to assist your family with evaluating financial aid offers from colleges and finding the right fit for your student.

Since many families may have personal questions, we will have sign-up sheets to schedule an individual appointment with one of our staff members to review your child’s offers. Please plan to join us for this important presentation as your family prepares for National Decision Day on May 1st. Interpretation is available with registration.

“On Your Grounds” for Admitted UVA Students at 6pm on Thursday, April 14th

Admitted UVA students, this is an opportunity for you and your family to meet with financial aid representatives, current UVA students (who are TC alums), and admission deans to learn more about UVA as you finalize your college decision for next year. Come to the T.C. Williams Rotunda at 6pm to enjoy a free pizza dinner!

National Decision Day is Sunday, May 1st (TC will celebrate on Friday, May 12th)

Seniors, May 1st is the nationwide date by which enrollment/housing deposits are due to colleges. If you have not yet received your financial aid awards from the colleges to which you have been accepted, it is likely that they are missing critical information from you. Please see me for assistance in submitting financial aid verification paperwork ASAP so that you can find out how much each college will cost for you prior to Decision Day. Once you have received financial aid awards, please stop by the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria for assistance with evaluating your aid packages and interpreting the different grants and loans offered.

On Friday, May 12th, TC will celebrate National Decision Day during all lunches to honor you and your plans for after high school! Stop by the Titan Den during your lunch block to decorate a free t-shirt with your post-secondary plans, enjoy a cupcake, and enter for a chance to win a gift basket full of supplies for your dorm room.
