Staying focused on the TC Scene in Week #14

Well we are two weeks away from the end of the third quarter, and so much closer to the end of this high school journey. It is soooooooooo important that you maintain your grades and attendance because teachers have the ability to request a grade adjustment if the grade is not reflective of appropriate attendance. We want everyone to end strong, so stay focused, stay in class, and stay excellent Class of 2016!!

The rest of April is packed with important events and information, so please stay tuned, and engaged. It was quite surprising how many people indicated they did not know that Herff Jones was on campus today for the last time to take cap and gown orders in person. It is vital that seniors are paying attention so you don’t miss anything!!!

Preview Days and Admitted Student Events

april 8th Admitted Student Preview day

We know that many of you are visiting college campuses to help you make your final decision. Please be sure to send pictures from your visits, and get ready to make that decision by May 1st (where necessary). We want to celebrate with you, so keep the great news (and pictures) coming! Visits are an important part of the decision making process, so whenever possible PLEASE spend time on the campuses you are considering, and start making connections with students and staff to build you network to help you make your decision, and once you are on campus!

Scholarship Updates

The opportunities keep coming, so stay tuned for scholarships and talk with your local organizations to see what they offer. Don’t miss DEADLINES by keeping track of your applications using a tool like this. It was so great to celebrate with the Scholarship Fund of Alexandria and Beat the Odds awardees this week, but there are soooooooooooo many other scholarships out there, so keep applying and checking the list in Naviance and with Mrs. Feldman (as well as those your counselor keeps receiving and printing off!!)!
