Seniors on the Scene in Week #18

What a great celebration of our amazing teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week! So good to see our teachers celebrated for all of their tremendous efforts on behalf of our students throughout the year. In addition, we celebrated our fabulous School Nurse, Mrs. Storck on Friday for National Nurse’s day. The celebrations continue on Sunday for Mother’s Day, and we wish all of the mothers (and like a mothers) out there a very special day where you are appreciated and loved for all you do all year long.

DEADLINES keep coming, including Senior Experience and paying off deficiencies.

New Diploma Seal Available Starting With Class of 2016

Starting with the class of 2016, students have the opportunity to earn the Virginia Diploma Seal of Biliteracy. The Virginia Board of Education’s Seal of Biliteracy certifies attainment of a high level of proficiency by a graduating high school student in at least one world language in addition to English. For more information and the requirements click here or contact your child’s counselor for more information. A letter has been mailed out on Friday, May 6th with more information.

Sign up Today for June 16th Graduation March

This is your time to celebrate all the hard work that you have endured over the past 13 years and the excitement that revolves around graduation.  It’s time to thank your principals and teachers from kindergarten through Minnie Howard for their support over the years.  Sign up for the graduation march that will take place on Thursday, June 16, 2016 by completing this form.  You must sign up by June 10th!
