Happy Thanksgiving!

We just want to take a moment to express our gratitude to each of you for helping make the first three months of senior year so memorable. From all of the excitement of the first day through Homecoming and the relief of finishing the first quarter, there have been many special moments that we are grateful to have shared with you. There is so much more to come as many of you start/continue applying to college/specialty programs/scholarships (being very mindful of deadlines!), and the celebrations that have already begun as acceptance letters/emails are already being received. We hope you all enjoy a very special and restful Thanksgiving holiday and break. Be sure to take time to express what you are grateful for to as many people as you can (via in person/phone/Skype/email/snail mail), because that is what this season is truly all about. If you missed your session this week, be sure to stop by the College and Career Center to hear all about the important information and get your account matched (link to directions for matching and requesting recommendations).

With the first quarter ending, and the second quarter getting underway, this is an excellent opportunity for reflection, and planning for the next part of your senior year. The fresh start that a new quarter brings is an excellent time to review what you have been doing so far this year, and decide if you want to continue to change your ways.

One suggestion we would like to encourage is the importance of developing skills in the following areas before leaving high school:

Healthy Coping

Stress Management
