As a culminating project for the US/VA government course, students will collaboratively complete a civic action project. The goal of this project is for students to combine the content knowledge and skills gained throughout the year to solve a community issue. Students will spend 5-6 weeks in groups researching and preparing a public policy proposal and action plan for a chosen community issue. The summative assessment for this project will culminate in a group portfolio and presentation to community stakeholders.
