Third grade students worked together to create a shared video presentation on what to expect for kindergarten in their neighborhood elementary school. Students visited the nearest preschool to ask the preschoolers what questions they may have about starting kindergarten. After visiting the neighborhood preschool, student teams created a video presentation. Students wrote and performed brief descriptions of expectations for elementary school. The video introduced pre-K students to important parts of their school: the lunchroom, playground, principal, nurse and more and has become part of kindergarten orientation.
